| MARCH
7, 2005 VOLUME 12, NUMBER 36 Nurse’s Self-Care Instructions Were Not "Emotional Distress" February 10, 2009: Originally in this space we reported on the Georgia Court of Appeals case of Canziani v. Visiting Nurses Health Systems, Inc., 271 Ga. App. 677, 610 S.E.2d 660 (2005). Recently we heard from the plaintiff in that litigation, Christina Canziani. Ms. Canziani insisted that our article was slanderous, and she told us that she intended to bring an action in the Georgia courts if we did not remove the article and apologize. We are sorry, Ms. Canziani, if you felt that the article in any way impugned you. It was not, and is not, our purpose to pass any sort of judgment as to anyone's choices or motivations. We merely attempt to report on what has transpired as it relates to the group of people we represent and for whom we advocate. Rather than offending you, we have chosen to simply remove the original article. |
